When Vagaro is a good fit
- You want a longer trial: Vagaro offers 30 days.
- You run a large team at one location: calendar fees stop after seven, so an eighth stylist adds nothing.
- You also run fitness classes or a spa, which Vagaro covers alongside salons.
What’s different with Hairvana
- One price for the whole salon: $79.99/mo covers unlimited team members and up to three locations, with no per-stylist fee.
- Email campaigns have no monthly send limit, where Vagaro includes 1,000 free emails a month.
- Lead pages and product pages are built in, with an AI writer, so a promotion gets its own page that books or sells.
- Hair formula tracking, commission tracking and payroll export are part of the salon plan.
Switching
Moving from Vagaro to Hairvana
Hairvana's import reads client and service exports from Square, Vagaro, GlossGenius, Fresha, Booker and Boulevard, plus any spreadsheet (CSV or Excel), and can even read a photo or PDF of a client list. You check every row before anything is saved. Vagaro exports were one of the first formats we built and tested the importer against, including their placeholder dashes and combined address columns.
How switching worksFAQ
Hairvana vs Vagaro, answered.
01Is Hairvana cheaper than Vagaro?
It depends on team size. Vagaro starts at $30 a month and adds $10 for each bookable calendar, up to seven per location. Hairvana's Salon Owner plan is $79.99 a month whatever the team size, for up to three locations. Card processing is separate on both, so compare your own rates too.
02Can I move my clients from Vagaro to Hairvana?
Yes. Export your clients from Vagaro and upload the file to Hairvana's import. It matches the columns for you and shows every row before saving, so nothing is written until you check it.
03Does Hairvana have a free trial like Vagaro?
Yes, 14 days. Vagaro's trial is longer at 30 days. Hairvana asks for a card when you sign up and charges nothing until the trial ends.
